Hello Mr. Hylewicz,

I hope you’ve had a restful vacation and a good trip home.

I picked up our machine in your workshop on 17.7.07. And now I want to thank you for the friendly acceptance and the service of your employees. I’m amazed how precise the machine is worked; what you’ve developed is really great. We’ve already searched for something like this for a long time. Although we both (my wife and me) are real CNC beginners it didn’t take long to learn to handle the machine and to achieve proper results. We produced just a marginal trash.                                                                                                      Our next machine will be a Heiz again.                                                                            The delivered software is very simple to handle, too.

Thank you for your effort

Best regards                                                                                                       Torsten Kramer

Hallo www_cnc-step_com,

Hi
Just wanted to say thank you very much, as there isn't enough space on feedback to say how grateful I am. The machine arrived 2 days ago, and I have looked at it, but not yet had time to set it all up due to work commitments. Just wanted to say thank you for making it very easy to buy a great product and for providing such a good service. I would definitely recommend you to others.
Thanks again

Good evening Mr. Hylewicz

Thank you very much for your kind enquiry. The gift has still not arrived but we’re not in a hurry. I’ve had much fun with the High- Z machine and I’m going to send you more photos in future. I’m really very convinced of your product and support.

You will surely get more pictures and I already believe that you will be surprised what we have created with your machine. So I wish you much success for your further marketing and development.

I send a lot of greetings from Switzerland

Hello Mr. Hylewicz,

As you predicted my S-720 was delivered on 21.December 2006. The machine’s packing was exemplary and after unpacking there were no shortages noted.

Amazed by the size and weight of the machine I carried it to a specially arranged room in cellar. Than I had to prove to myself the manufacturing quality detailed described and I admit that I was satisfied with the result. All pieces were burred neatly, tight fitting and very well worked and believe me, I work in this trade and can judge it.

After I realized that there are two pieces missing, which can happen to anybody I contacted your company and you said you would send it them immediately. Thank you for your kind reaction.

After a period of acclimatization I finally could begin to work. But than I got a shock, the machine didn’t work correctly. It lost its Z- zero point and the stepping motors worked uneasy so I had to ask you again. An employee gave the advice to buy a new external PCI card with a parallel printer exit. I only thought: great! I just bought a new PC and have to upgrade again! But after I installed the new card ( 12 Euro ) the machine worked faultlessly. I’m really very enthused with your customer service and your machines and can only recommend them!!

Greetings F. Gries

From an customer from the UK came that:

Hello Frank,

Once again I am very pleased with the machine, I downloaded the circuit board program from your website,
I ran the program on the machine using a fine pointed cutter and a piece of acrylic as material,
I started the machine and left it to complete the run, when I returned and blew the dust away I was amazed at the
accuracy the machine achived.
I built a Torchmate CNC mill at my work and I can say that it would never close to the accuracy or build quality of your machine.

Thanking You
J. Mc Clean

Hello Mr. Hylewicz,

we bought a High-Z 1000 last November.                                                                 The machine is really marvellous.

We’ve already milled hundreds of meters with it.                                                           But we only own the software PCNC.                                                                       And now I found a new WIN-PCNC on your homepage.                                                   Is it possible to get the economy version incl a milling machine (for 129,-€)? It would be great.

I’ d be glad for a fast answer!

Thank you!

Sunny greetings

Mario Malmer

Hello Mr. Hylewicz,

I’ ve already done my first big series of engraving and I’ m very enthusiastic because of the precision of the machine and the work it does.

I benevolently absorbed your new ideas from the homepage. The short video sequences about programming Corel-Draw to serve the machine are very helpful.

Hello Mr. Hylewicz

After we spend 12 hours in a car on 22.08.2005 we came home well and afterwards installed the machine and made our first tries to engrave.

We put the machine in a certain way to have the reference point down on the right side. Our zero point is left side on the top (X-500, Y+200, Z+80).

Right here I installed a measuring instrument for X and Y which I have started several times; Between times I switched off the drive and started the measuring instrument after  a reference drive again.

I locked a divergence of 0.005mm +/-

The solution of the riddle are probably the cheap but very good reference switches???

Kudos to you:

You’ve developed a very good concept with a good cost/ ratio performance.

Note:

We wanted to build something like that by ourselves and even bought three professional milling machines but only the material to build a new machine would cost about 10000 € And think about the working hours . (Now we can take part on experience  which you certainly already have paid)

Experiences:

Our engrave tries in anodized aluminium 1,6 mm with the delivered engraved tool proceeded negative. The aluminium get an unbearable ridge. (The ridge was higher than the depth of milling)                                                                                                                   Our CNC server advised us to oil aluminium before milling. Further engrave tries with oil/ cooling provided wonderful results with a depth of engrave of 0,5 mm. We’re going to use a depth of 0.2 mm for production; I just wanted to torture the machine.

To brush the lubricant/ cooling oil the way we do it today is wiry because there has to be always a person standing at the machine. (But the result is very good.)

We will rebuild the machine tomorrow in order to move it pneumatic up and down about 20 cm.

The set up of the zero point will be performed on the top (in a dry place).

Milling/ engraving will be performed down (in an oil bath).

So we will mill under water in future. :-)                                                                     Till today we can only report positive about Heiz company.                                             I would be glad to keep in touch and exchange our technology experiences.

Report from forum:

Hello Marius,

do me a favour and don’t buy a machine by Haase.

My CUT 2000L was only 3 years old when it fall to pieces.                                          Haas wanted as much for repairing as a new machine would cost.

In my opinion the material was o.k. It was the wood grounding why the machine broke. Because of external influence like humidity and heat the wood deformed.

I work with a HIGH-Z S-1000 by cnc- step since few years and I’ve never had any problems. The machine works nearly as on its first day although I work with it daily for almost eight hours.

Report from a forum:

Hello again,

I’m writing a little experience report as a High Z 1000 user.

My own tests as a furniture carpenter ( I’m used to work with real big milling machines)

I drive flatting routers with 300 mm, approx. 6500 UP/M with tischfräsen.

My test with the High Z, fronts of a kitchen (customer’s order), MDF boards 38mm, flatting router in tailor- made order; router diameter 80mm for 8mm shaft, depth of milling 5mm , feed motion 8-12mm.

Result: amazing, the machine’s efficiency doesn’t break State of driven fräsbahnen : wonderful Finishing: 240 end grinding, grounding, varnishing, that’s it! In my opinion you can’t fully load the machine under normal conditions.  Some persons expect from a small portal milling machine the same performance as from a „10.000 €.—up“ milling machine.

But they were advised wrong or don’t want to invest appropriate money for a „big“  machine.

Résumé: I admit, I „only“ work on wood and plastics but for a long time and so I’ve got a lot of experience with big machines and in my opinion HEIZ machines are unbeatable in this price segment. By the way, my machine works daily for 5-8  hours since 10/2005! – I had no problems till today.

Ask yourself these questions: what do I want to work on? How fast and precise? And afterwards get advised.

Maybe some other machine owners of a High Z would write their experience report, too.

Greetings
Holzmichel

From forum “Peter’s CNC corner“

Hello, my machine works too - with Mach3 - For anybody wants to see the machine notify per PM. I live not far away from Braunschweig. I use my machine (High Z-720) only for a short time for train model making in 1:43 (wood, plastic, thin brass, etc.).                       It’s too bad to read so many persons becoming personal in this forum. A lot of things were discussed- very intensively! Let’s summarize: a hobby machine with a good cost/ performance ratio and a sufficient precision.

Nice weekend

Hello dear workmates...

I work with a HIGH-Z S-1000 by cnc-step since one year.

I produce everything you can mill. Beforehand I worked with a CUT 2000 L by Haase (Neuss). I was advised to use a 80mm router by Kress; with this machine you can only use a router with 40 mm diameter! With this feed motion it could load on spindle nuts if you use routers with such diameters! I produce and work in all possible materials like polycarbonate, acrylic glass, aluminium, wood a.s.o. with a 8 mm router. Till today I didn’t have any problems. For working on thicker materials one has to be sensitive!

duesseldata Says:

Hello,

I’m inconsistent with your opinion about vectorizing pictures and photos is foolish. You’re right to say it needs a lot of time to achieve a proper result but I produce vector graphics as milled or engraved pictures and I know that it is possible to create all possible forms on customer’s wish with a CNC portal milling machine by HEIZ.                                             I often find out there’s an increasing demand for vector graphics in Germany. No matter if for advertising, graphic and graphic design, cutting technologies, CNC + cutting area or new artful representation and culture circle.                                                                          In my opinion this movement will increase further and formats like jpg, bmp a.s.o. will be replaced by vector graphics because they are free of loss during enlarging or stretching.  Furthermore I wonder that the software industry has a lot to catch up and that not much happens on market. For example Corel Trace 12 is admittedly the most popular program for vectorizing but for me it is still in its infancy and each professional vectorizing requires handicraft.                                                                                                          For me I achieve best results with freeware programs which still need a little bit of handicraft but  finally they enable better results than professional and very expensive renowned graphic software.                                                                                                                I would be glad about an e- mail if somebody can teach me something better.

Best regards Sascha Alertz

Hello Mr Hylewicz,

We’re now satisfied with the S-720 and insert it in very different ways.

Unfortunately I had no time to take some photos till today.

I’m content about how fast you answer on e- mails, too.

An answer after a support of Mr. Lewetz ( WIN PCNC developer)

Hello Mr. Lewetz,

I’m sorry to have troubled you with our problems. Our High-Z engraving and milling machine works very good with your WinPCNC software now!!!

Today we bought and put in a new PCI card for the printer parallel port for our Athlon PC with 2.2 GHz stroke. Instantly everything worked correctly. Even the X- axle error is removed. All the motors buzz quietly if wanted.                                                                     The problem was the onboard parallel port of our OC which let only false data through. It is not useful for this kind of controlling. The extern PCI card gives only perfect signals and passes hem on to the stepping motors.

Thank you for your effort.

And thank you already now for your answer.

Greetings
Sigrid + Gerhard Wiche

Frank,

In the Win PCNC manual it illustrates a sensor block. Are these available from your company?

I want to say you and your company have been absolutel great in your customer treatment and I will

never forget it. In fact I hope to tell everyone I know who may be interested in a CNC machine that the only

place to buy one is from CNC-STEP. Take care of yourself and we will talk again once I have manufactured

our computer faceplates and laptop coolers.

Thank you,

Customers’ opinion about products of competitors or dubious e- bay offerers

Good morning,

thank you very much for your effort. In principle I had the idea to start in the guitar bulding area as a canvasser. (Coustommaker?) For it I thought about a milling machine with traverse paths of 1250x550x90 in order to palpate complete surfaces and develop designs which can be adapted afterwards. I bought a milling machine on February. First with 500x320x50 for 800? with NC step controlling and M....net software. The machine was send postaly and I get it in an unuseful state. The crosswise slide wasn’t fixed- sliding bushing were ripped out of aluminium guide ways. The packing was damaged and the spindles bended- obviously an idiot was standing on it. My complaint was not accepted. The software doesn’t fit on controlling and the former owner soldered the pin assignment. Unfortunately I realized it after I bought a new software which I couldn’t configurate to the soldered pins. Yesterday I was able to do my first try by milling the Makko emblem. But even with a 2200 processor there are dropouts  so the repetition precision in the following level was very bad. That means I can only mill in 2D with one operation. Milling impossible with a tool diameter of  0,6mm and a depth of  3mm. The milling machine’s construction with 12mm round bar guide ways holds a small Proxxon Micromate only without bending spindles. But you can’t see all that on the pictures in e- bay and so you sign but there’s no possibility for return or any guaranty. It is honest to trust- but reality is quiet different. Nevertheless I’m thankful for your friendly offer to help me. But because my resources are tired out I’m not able to buy a new machine. It would be a deceit to the follower if I sold the old machine. Even the controlling is considerable because of the made changes.

I was glad about your words of encouragement and I take my hat off to you.

Best regards

Bernd F.

Dear Sir or Madam,

since December 2006 I’ve got more or less problems with my current CNC- software and there are no program extensions, updates or any help data by M....-Net so I feel forced to try it with an other CNC-software.

At the end of the year 2006 I had to decide whether I buy a High-Z S 1000 from you or a M 1285 by M....-Net. Because of a high demand I would had to pay 10% extra so I decided to buy the other one.

If I had knew how much annoyance it brings I would have bought a HEIZ machine.

I would like to ask you if I may use your Win PCNC milling software form my new machine. According to your description it should work without any problems.

I mill in X, Y, and Z temporary. But I would like to buy a turnable fourth axle from you. For that I need the mentioned software, do I? Or do you have got other ideas for a tool in approximately price level?

Do you have a demonstration software form e to test? Please give me some more information about turnable rotation axles.

Best regards
